Accessibility Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Microcem is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.
Our commitment
We are working to make our website accessible in the following ways:
- Perceivable. We provide text alternatives for images, use sufficient colour contrast, and present content in ways that can be perceived by assistive technologies.
- Operable. All interactive elements are accessible by keyboard, and navigation is consistent across the site.
- Understandable. We use clear language, predictable layouts, and helpful labels on forms and links.
- Robust. Our site is built with standard web technologies that work with current and future assistive technologies.
What we have implemented
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Alternative text for all meaningful images
- Keyboard accessible navigation and interactive elements
- Focus indicators on interactive elements
- Resizable text and responsive layouts that work at 200% zoom
- ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and complex components
- Form labels associated with their inputs
Known limitations
We are continually reviewing and improving our site. Some older content or third party embeds may not yet meet our target standard. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know so we can address it.
